This might sound like a crazy concept but stay with me—there are plenty of reasons why you might want to do this.

  1. You’d like to send your computer data to be analyzed, then continue working on it while away from your computer—without having to pay for a monthly subscription from companies like Chat GPT or another artificial intelligence firm.
  2. I believe that technology should be accessible and work for you, no matter where you are.

By accessing your AI remotely, you can maintain control over your data, save money, and enjoy the flexibility of working on your projects from anywhere, at any time.

It turns out you can do it for free, just like everything I’ve posted so far. Chrome Remote Desktop is available on anything that runs Chrome and can connect to any endpoint. This means that if you have it installed on your phone, you can also control your computer remotely. And it’s just an extension! This means that it will run on iOS and Android, or whatever—there’s no cost for a given remote session for personal use.

I’m not sure about the business license terms because that’s not a concern for me, but it truly is empowering to be able to access your computer from your phone. You can download files, upload files, and print them on your local printer—or whatever. It’s just phenomenal! Give it a try.

The computer you wish to access remotely has to be turned on. Unless your motherboard has Wake on LAN capability, configuring this option is beyond the scope of this post and will likely require technical assistance unless you’re a networking expert. But that’s not an issue for most of us—just leave your computer on, and things should work out fine.
